Every company, institute or organization features its own individual processes. The goal of every software solution consists in optimizing the efficiency of these processes. Therefore Absidion was developed with a maximum degree of flexibility and customization in mind. You can find some examples here:
Do you use different terms than those provided by the program's standard version? Not a problem! Just change the labels and their translations directly within the application.
Custom properties for all relevant objects like partners, applications, projects etc. can be defined within the user interface. Different views and authorizations for the data can also be configured.
Relevant data can easily and comprehensively be exported to programs such as MS Excel.
Absidion provides a comprehensive superordinate calendar consolidating event information from all program areas. Here you will find important dates regarding the partners, projects, activities, contracts and applications you are responsible for.
Absidion's CRM module consolidates all relevant partner data originating e.g. from application, process, case or project management or any other areas of interest. The CRM's partner view presents all this information at a glance. Individual views can be configured for every user group, prominently displaying their most relevant information. By default, the Absidion CRM offers the following data categories:
The elaborated search functionality makes sure you find the partners you are looking for quickly and efficiently. Groups of partners can be identified by an arbitrary combination of properties. Of course, custom data can be searched for as well.
A search for partners can be stored as a list to access an up-to-date set of matching partners at any time. Lists can be shared with other users to allow everybody access to a consistent, predefined set of partners.
Partner data can be exported to and from MS Excel. You can also synchronize the contact details of your personal partners with Outlook and Exchange (optional).
Especially when partner data is imported from different sources or edited by multiple departments, duplicate partner entries may occur on a regular basis. Absidion not only checks for duplicates when creating new partners but also provides sophisticated tools for clearing up. A dedicated search function for duplicates allows easy identification and merging of redundant partner entries, giving you full control over which information should be kept or discarded.
Absidion provides extensive functionality for managing publication subscriptions. Keep track of your subscribers at any time. Of course, multilingual publications can be handled, too. For mailings, you can generate address labels directly out of Absidion or use the integrated printer's shop export.

Absidion facilitates managing applications, cases and other process-based instances efficiently, seamlessly and transparently. Various workflows for different cases and conditions can be defined. By default the following case data can be managed in Absidion:
Extensive search functions make sure you find every case quickly. The search criteria defining a selection of cases can be stored as case lists and shared with other co-workers. All cases in a list can be processed quickly and efficiently within the dedicated list view. With only a few clicks, a serial letter for all selected cases can be generated or individual information can be updated.
Absidion supports your individual processes by letting you define freely customizable workflows. Based on customizable case characteristics, the appropriate process workflow is selected and the according steps and escalations performed.
Applications and other cases are often decided upon in corresponding jury and decision meetings. Absidion offers a seamless integration with Smartnode to ensure an efficient preparation and execution of these meetings. All relevant case data can easily be transferred from Absidion to Smartnode and provided to the meeting’s participants. This way, external decision makers can access all necessary information directly and without any paperwork. Decisions made in the meeting can be recorded in Smartnode and easily transferred back to Absidion. Smartnode's jury tool supports decision-making by helping to compare various cases.

A case's letters and reports can easily be created in Absidion from custom templates. Of course, the document management system provides a versioning mechanism and check-in functionality. In addition, Absidion offers direct access to all case documents within your ordinary file browser via its WebDAV-interface.
The budget for the cases managed can be planned and tracked by cost carrier, cost center and cost type. Dues approved can be disbursed completely or in multiple tranches. Naturally, Absidion supports the integration of external financial systems like SAP.
Oftentimes applicants send additional information about an application via email. Using the optional email interface, you can just forward these emails to Absidion. The data is automatically imported and associated with the appropriate case.
With project management in Absidion, you can easily plan and track your projects. Sophisticated functions for evaluation and reporting provide a real-time overview for superiors and members of the board. Project data managed in Absidion includes:
Absidion allows you to plan and track projects hierarchically. This way, information originating from sub-projects can easily be aggregated and evaluated in superordinate projects. Tasks can be planned, assigned and linked to dependencies. A GANTT-diagram provides intuitive planning options via drag and drop.
Team members can track their expenses accurately in real time using Absidion's integrated time tracker. Alternatively, the timesheet view optimized for maximum efficiency can be used to track expenses retrospectively. Allowances can be recorded in customisable categories and accounted for when necessary.
A project's budget can be planned and tracked over multiple years. A hierarchical project organization allows you to define budget allowances on a higher level and propagating them to responsible managers on lower levels for further elaboration. Dues approved in case management can be linked to projects and incorporated within the project budget.
Easily create invoices to bill your project expenses. Real-time operating figures reflecting the project profitability ensure you are always up to date regarding project costs and earnings.
Project management can be used for planning and tracking an organization's case- and funding strategies. By defining projects and linking them to all relevant cases, long term objectives can be pursued and evaluated. A condensed management report containing a comparison of previously defined target values with actual results can easily be generated at any time.
