Aargau opts for absidion
In addition to other cultural institutes like Goethe Institut or Pro Helvetia the canton of Aargau (Switzerland) has now chosen a modern culture management system created by ascaion. We are very happy about this decision and welcome our new customer!

New version 3.0 of edunite released
edunite provides a lot of new features with its new release 3.0 ensuring its position as leading education management system in Europe. A major feature are new visual indicators for all levels of stakeholders, like state, district or school.

Already today edunite complies to the guidelines established by the new German data protection laws. As main sponsor ascaion accompanied the "1. Wiesbaden BDSG Forum" (Wiesbaden data protection law forum) and presented one of the first solutions which completely fullfills all new data protection specifications. In edunite all sensitive data is encrypted for communication as well as for storage. Separation of roles and functions is garanteed as well represting another unique feature of the solution.

Once again edunite shows up with another unique feature. From now on all document's concerning school operations can be managed within edunite. For security reasons the system determines the context of the document and stores personal documents separated from common administrative ones on distinct, protected storage servers.

Starting with the new German school term, edunite is going to present two new features. These will represent another milestone for the education management of all levels of school administration.

edunite features a state of the art competence management system
Coming with the next release a new competence management system is going to be integrated into edunite. The competence management system will allow users to graphically evaluate and compare a student's competences in the context of learning goals, curricula and other common fields. It will also be possible to observe a student's personal development and to discuss it between teachers, parents and the students themselves.

edunite features new competence-management
ascaion presents a new release of edunite™ in February 2009 which is going to provide a new competence-management-system. School's subject managers are enabled to define their subject and term related competences. These competences can also be evaluated: How were they communicated to the class? To which extend have they been acquired by the students? This can serve as a convenient tool for the creation of individual remedial teaching plans.

ascaion presents edunite™ with a new integration of Deutsche Telekom's media-management tool edunex and extends the security concept with the innovative Semkey technology, which is also provided by Deutsche Telekom. With this concept of a mobile working environment ascaion and its partners open up a new area of fully integrated education management.
